Antigua day 4

I don't have anything planned for today.

After my breakfast of oatmeal with banana, I Just focused on travel maintenace. Shower and laundering a few pieces of clothing.

I brought a nice water bottle with me.I brought a nice water bottle with me. It wasn't a question of if I would lose it, but rather when. That when, was yesterday.. That when, was yesterday. After breakfast I went back to the market I shopped at late yesterday to check if had left it in the locker. The locker was empty. So farewell my beautiful bottle. Enjoy your new home wherever that may be.

Laundry time.  Laundering changes from place. Some places provide accomodations for travelers to laundering clothes, others not so much. The place I am at now, not so much. There are no cloths lines and limited options for rigging up a short line to hang cloths to dry. Today, I could only wash 2 or 3 items, and hung them by the window next to my bed.

I think I'll give my legs a rest today. Being a Sunday, many places are closed anyway.

After breakfast and laundry, I did go for a short walk. I took another obligatory picture of another dilapidated 1800th century church that I passed along the way.

Although I weaned off coffee before my trip, I looked for a coffee shop with a table by an open window with a view.  I didn't need or especially want the coffee, I bought it as payment for that window seat.

Just as in Mexico, very young children are trained to be street sellers. This very young girl came into the Cafe selling chicklets. She had it down, not o ly looking up with here puppy eyes but also leaned in to give me a hug. I gave her one quetzal, about 16 cents, I refused the chicklet.

Returning to the hostel, it was siesta time.
