San José, Costa Rica day 3
I'm still here.
I had a board meeting for the library this morning. That chowed a chunk of my mid day.
By the time the meeting finished, I was hungry. I only have a few Costa Rican colones left and didn't want to get more out of the ATM. That reduced my options to places that would take a credit card. Most of the small restaurants only take cash.
I ended up going to the supermarket a few blocks away that serves hot meals. A buffet type setup. It was way to much food, I brought half back and gave it to someone staying at the hostel. I also bought some avacodo to make guacamole with to eat before heading to the airport.
I already have an Uber booked to go to the airport and that will also be on credit card.
I fly out early tomorrow afternoon to Mexico City, then take a late night flight to Lima, Peru, arriving Saturday morning.
This wasn't planned. Apparently since I was pre planning flights, Volaris cancelled their service between San José and Lima. Hence a rerouting. Unfortunately this will also affect my later flights coming back from further south in South America.
I was reading today about severe water shortages in Bogota, Columbia. That also may affect my planned visit there.
