Santiago, Chile to Buenos Aires, Argentina
1 month anniversary on the road. 3 months to go in this epic journey. At least epic for an old fart like me.
I am anxious to move on, but dreading the day today.

I need to check out of the hostel by 11 am this morning, but my flight doesn't leave until 10 pm. A lot of time in between to find something entertaining to do. But, what is worse is that I arrive in Buenos Aires at 1 am. Too early to do anything. I may end up sleeping or attempting to sleep on the floor in the airport. I have never had much luck with that.
This morning I have been doing the regular research for traveling to another country. Where do I get a SIM card for my phone? Where to exchange seed money? Where to exchange additional money? How to get from the Airport to the city center and my new accomodations?
Some of this can be done at the airport. The lingering question is are they open at 1 or 2 in the morning. The things I need to do at the airport are: Exchange for some seed money. I should be able to use to Mexican peso for that. I may be able to get a SIM in the airport, but if I wait, I may be able to get one cheaper in the city.
Once in the city, in Buenos Aires there are 2 exchange rates. The official exchange rate and the Blue Market exchange rate. The Blue Market rate may give me as much as two times the amount of Argentine Peso as the official rate. This exchange needs to be done with $USD on one of the streets in the city.
