Medellin day 4

A change up for breakfast this morning, pancakes. nice.

After breakfast and blog updates this morning, I headed out for the day.

I was planning on trying out the Encicla bikes today, but my energy level was down. Maybe from going out for drinks last night. My legs weren't feeling that great either. Maybe tomorrow.

What  I did do was catch the Metro train to the Poblado neighborhood. From my reading, it has been mentioned as a neighborhood to visit. I also  wanted to check out hostels there in case I wanted to try out a different place.

I arrived at the Poblado station and started walking and walking. The walk to the neighborhood was mostly uphill from the station. One check mark against finding a hostel here. Arriving in the central neighborhood area, it seems to have a more residential feeling. I stopped at one place for a break to have a not so great brownie or what I assumed was a brownie and a coffee.


The streets  in this area are even more tree lined than where I am staying. There also seem to be a lot more bars directed towards tourists.

While in this area I also wanted to visit the Manila Bike Shop. No relation to Manila in the Phillipines. The shop is in the neighborhood, Manila.

I knew from seeing it on the web, that it was a small shop, but if I would have blinked when I was walking,  I would have missed it.  I met a couple of the owners there, Jacob and Daniel,  both seemed really nice. The bikes they rent are really good, but also for that reason, not in my budget.  Not really that much, about $21 usd for 24  hours. But on top of  that I have to figure in the transport cost to get  there to pick up the bike and return. after dropping it off.

From there, I headed back to the Metro to head back towards my hostel.

In my area,  I did pass by the place I ate at yesterday. Today I bought the
