Bogota day 5

 Good Morning.

I woke up early as usual. 

My first task was to book a flight from Bogoto to Mexico. I have a Volaris Annual Pass and can only reserve flights 3 days in advance. Today was the first day that I could reserve a flight for my planned departure on Monday.

I was able to make my reservation. I will be leaving Bogota on Monday morning at around 8 am arriving in Mexico City around noon.

Only slightly risky, I also booked my flight out of Mexico City to Oakland, California later that day at about 5 pm.

I just got back from breakfast. It is a 2 block walk  to the "included with the hostel booking" breakfast is served.

It is always nice to be greated by smell of flowers returning to the hostel.

My main activity for today will be to my laundry. I will go to a self service laundry and just wait while my cloths are being washed. I pay too much for self service because I am traveling with so few cloths, my load is small,  but still pay for a full load. Going the self serve will reduce my steps for today, always a consideration.

What was suppose  to be a self serve laundry, was a quasi self serve. They had a posted rate for washing and another for drying. But you load your own laundry, they would move it to the dryer. You come back to unload and fold... For over $11 usd for a very small load. If it wasn't such a long walk,  I would have walked. But in the end I have clean cloths to last until I get to California. 

While waiting  for  my laundry, I treated myself to a sweet roll and coffee at a nearby shop.

I decided to give  my body a rest after the last couple exerting  days.  Either that or I was lazy.

On my walk to the laundry, I saw a wood fire pizza shop. In the evening I decided to treat myself for the 2nd time today (3rd if you count taking a day off from excursions) with a pizza. I am happy to report it was very tasty.

The only other productive thing  I did today was research how to get to the airport early Monday morning here is Bogota and how to get from Oakland airport Monday night to a friends apartment in the Castro area of  San Franciso to spend the night before heading up to Sonoma.
