Booked Ticket to Vietnam

 I booked a one way ticket to Hanoi, Vietnam yesterday departing Oaxaca on March 4th, arriving in Hanoi on March 6th. It will be a long, grueling flight. 

First leg, Oaxaca, Mexico to Los Angeles. I will arrive mid-day on the 4th. I will stay overnight at a small hotel close the airport overnight. My ongoing flight on Delta will be the following day at 7:20 am, so I will have to arrive back at the airport about 5 am. This will be a short flight to Seattle. I will have an hour and 15 minute layover before boarding a long 12 hour flight to Seoul, South Korea also on Delta. The layover the Seoul will be a little over 2 hours before boarding my last flight to Hanoi, Vietnam. This will be a 5 hour flight on Korean Air.

I will arrive at a terrible time, 9:45 pm. I don't like arriving at night. Stressful getting transportation to accomodations and stressful checking in at accomodations late at night. Although I do not usually pre-book a taxi online, I will on this occasion. The posted fare is very affordable.

Other than the flights, taxi and first few nights accomodation in Hanoi, no plan, no itinerary and no reservations. Now the work starts, making a plan and making a budget. 

This will be my first trip to Vietnam. I am looking into the possibility of also visiting southern China via train, which would also be a first for me.
