Quy Nhon, Vietnam - Day 2

Good Morning!

The owner of the home stay gave me an electric water pot yesterday. So now I can make tea in the morning before heading out. I bought a Thai brewing cup for coffee, but I haven't found a strainer for tea. Hence, I end up picking tea out of my teeth when I brew tea in my room.

After tea I went out for coffee and breakfast. I didn't have to go far, just across the small street were vendors. One selling coffee and the other selling pho, vietnamese noodle soup.

My street is pretty pleasant in the mornings. There are several people that have birds that provide music in the early mornings.

I was taking a picture of one, but it caused the bird to flutter around in the cage. The owner came and motioned me to move away from the cage. His face suggested he was not pleased. I can understand the bird could be hurt flying in the cage.

I didn't bring a tea ball or strainer with me for making my tea. Most of my stays have included breakfast, but now some of them don't and what to make tea. I brought loose rooibos tea with me. Almost everyday while I am walking around, I also look for a tea ball or strainer. Today I specifically went looking for one. I checked on Google maps for kitchen stores, coffee shops and a few other things before seeing a picture of shop that might have something.  It was about 20 minutes away, but I needed to get my steps in for the day.

I past by this ornate temple on the way.

Finally I arrive and yes, the lady had a small strainer that I could use to strain my tea. I wish I had also brought my cone and filters for making coffee, but at least I can use the Thai style coffee makers for coffee.
